As a Normal Tech student, he used to spend more time out of school than in school. After NS, he worked in the airline industry, he wanted to study but he didn’t meet the entry requirements so he ended up taking a sign language course instead. This ended up changing his life; he started his volunteer work with hearing-impaired children. He resigned from the airline to become a rehab instructor and eventually worked his way to be a youth worker/counsellor.
He has worked for S’pore Assn. of the Visually Handicapped Assn. for the Educationally Sub-normal, Family Service Centre, Catholic Welfare Services, S’pore Children Society & WINGS Counselling Centre. After 12 years, he resigned to put his family as priority and started his journey as an associate.
He is engaged by community service organizations and training consultancy companies in areas such as; Family Life Education (Family mattes @ school, Triple P, Family 365), Counselling and group-work; for Probation Service Branch, Singapore Prison Service, Ministry Social Family (early marriage support) Family court. Corporate work; Leadership, Teambuilding, Service Learning, Workplace Wellness talks/workshop.
He also provides consultancy & development work, delivers talks, training workshops, group as well as individual work. His focus is on Psychoeducation, Life-skills, Family life education, Parenting education/coaching, Personal Leadership, Personal growth/Life coaching, Mind and body wellness.
